Organic Babassu is extracted from kernels found within the fruit of the Babassu palm which is found in the southern regions of Brazil.

Botanical Name: Orbignya oleifera

Common Uses: It is a wonderful emollient for both dry and oily skin. It can be used in many skin-care products such as soaps, creams, milks, lip balms, and hair-care products.

Absorption: Absorbs into the skin at an average speed and leaves a light sheen feel.

Shelf Life: Users can expect a shelf life of up to 2 years with proper storage conditions (cool, out of direct sunlight).

Cautions: At room temperature the oil can become a solid. Product can be placed in a hot-water bath to liquefy.
